12.0 College Governance and the Faculty
The authority of the College lies with the Board of Trustees and is delegated to the President, as the Chief Executive Officer. The overall educational policies and their implementation are the primary responsibility of the Chief Academic Officer, academic administrators and faculty.
Faculty have the responsibility for such matters as curriculum, course content and methods of instruction, research, faculty status and those aspects of student life that relate directly to the educational process. Faculty exercise this responsibility through service on the various committees which constitute the governance of the College of Mount Saint Vincent (see Current Governance Structure).
