How to Make an Appointment
There are many ways to make an appointment with the Counseling Center. We will make every effort to respond to your request within 24 hours. In most cases, we are able to schedule students for appointments within one to three days of their initial request. Students are encouraged to schedule an appointment for individual counseling.
Walk-In Sessions
We encourage students to contact us to make an appointment, but we welcome walk-ins as well. Students who walk in should fill out an Appointment Request Form found in the waiting room. Very often, there will be a counselor available to meet with you and you will experience little to no wait.
Urgent Appointments
We understand that we cannot plan ahead when we are going to feel overwhelmed, anxious, or confused. If you feel you are in crisis and cannot wait to see a counselor, please let us know when you contact the Counseling Center by email, phone, or in person. A counselor will make every effort to meet with you as soon as possible.
If you are having thoughts or hurting yourself or someone else, or if you know someone who has expressed those thoughts, please follow the instructions on how to handle mental health emergencies.
