The “2 + 2” Transfer Program
The Mount welcomes applications from international students who have completed two years of undergraduate study in a foreign country. These applicants will be identifies as entering as “2 + 2” Transfer Juniors, and will be admitted to the Mount’s B.A. and B.S. programs on the Riverdale, N.Y., campus.
To be admitted to the Mount as a transfer junior, applicants must meet the College’s standard criteria for acceptance, including a GPA of at least 85 in an approved college or university, and a TOEFL score ≥ 550 or an IELTS score ≥ 6.0.
Students who do not meet the minimum TOEFL requirement at the time of admission may, at the College’s discretion, be issued a conditional acceptance, which requires full-time English language study for a minimum of one semester. Students admitted conditionally will be enrolled in an ESL training program on the Riverdale campus, and must successfully complete the program’s English language assessment in order to enroll in undergraduate classes at the Mount.
Applicants to the “2 + 2” Transfer Program must submit an application for transfer admission. Applicants must also have an official college or university transcript sent directly to the Mount. All “2 + 2” applicants must have an official college or university transcript sent to the World Education Services (WES) credential evaluation service, which must send the applicant’s official transcript evaluation report directly to the Mount.
Please note: “2 + 2” Transfer Juniors from Beijing Normal University-Zhuhai must apply through their university’s articulation agreement with the College of Mount Saint Vincent, and are not required to use the WES credential evaluation service.
