Admission Tour Guide
Student tour guide assistants conduct weekly campus tours to prospective students and their families and perform general clerical assignments. During Admission events, they serve as College representatives and share their CMSV stories to help prospective students in their college search. If you love CMSV and have a passion for public speaking, this is the position for you.
Campus Events Staff
The Office for Campus Event is made up of a collaborative team of professionals working in an engaging and fast-paced environment to increase the College of Mount Saint Vincent’s relationships and resources by managing high-profile events and assisting with other externally oriented events. The Campus Events Staff student worker position has the following duties: provide planning, administrative, and clerical support to the Director of Campus Events and Assistant Director for Campus Events; assist with all aspects of event set-ups, including event coordination before, during, and after events, furniture rentals, etc., ensuring quality and efficient processes for both internal and external events; react quickly with adept problem-solving skills; occasionally weekends and overnights for special events or projects; maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive materials and issues; perform other work related duties as assigned.
Commuter Assistant
This position is for sophomore, junior, and senior students. Work with first-year commuter students assisting in their transition to campus life; maintain on-going communication throughout their first year, serve as a resource person and advocate for commuter concerns.
Community Service – Hebrew Home
The Hebrew Home provides opportunities to assist the Nursing Department including visiting and assisting with residents, answering phones, and distributing mail. Transporting residents to and from the beauty parlor. Assist in transporting residents to activities in art studio; provide residents with assistance during programs. There are also opportunities to assist other Hebrew Home departments/offices, as assigned.
Desk Assistant
Screen all persons entering the residence hall for proper identification; document student concerns and facilities-related issues; complete lock-out requests and provide general campus information. Provide customer service for resident students and visitors. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills required.
Dolphin Dialer
Contact alumnae/i by phone to solicit donations to the Annual Fund; handle confidential and personal alumnae/i information; update alumnae/i records; have strong interpersonal and phone etiquette skills. Applicants must be polite, professional, and responsible individuals; a cheerful personality is required. Must commit to work a minimum of two nights a week (maximum of three nights) for each semester. Dolphin Dialers are permitted a maximum of three absences per semester.
Facilities Department Escort
Accompany facilities’ staff conducting residence halls repairs; conduct quality-control
walk-through of residence hall buildings; perform general clerical work. The student works a block schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., or 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The student must be available to work the entire two- or three-hour block work schedule. These positions are co-supervised by the Administrative Assistants for Housing & Residence Life and Facilities.
Fitness Center Manager
Manage all aspects of the fitness center including: user sign-in; equipment care and cleaning, monitor use of all equipment, report any broken equipment; ensure a safe workout environment for all users, provide basic support to users on the operation of equipment.
Game Day Event Staff
Assist in all game day event management duties including: facility set-up and clean-up, video recording. Students may fulfill roles including score-board operator, shot-clock operator, statistic spotter, sideline ball runner, line judge, and ball retriever.
Helpdesk Phone Support Agent
Answer telephone, screen and direct calls/service requests; input service requests into online database; sign-out /sign-in loaner equipment; assist students/employees with basic technological inquiries. Candidate must have knowledge of computers and relevant software applications, good verbal and written communication skills. Available times are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Help Desk Technician
Answer telephone, screen and direct calls/service requests; input service requests into online database; sign out/sign in loaner equipment; configure equipment; assist students/employees with software and hardware inquires; assist in the maintenance of 13 computer labs; assist with the functionality of classroom technology. Candidate must have knowledge of relevant software applications, and familiarity with various hardware peripherals; possess strong customer service skills as well as strong verbal and written communication skills. Schedule availability requirement: Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Fridays 8:00 a.m.to 4:30 p.m.
Campus Store Assistant
This position is responsible for providing routine office administrative assistance including answering and directing calls; responding to inquiries or taking messages, typing memos, reports, and forms; processing time sheets to payroll and/or cash/bank deposits; performing data entry and compiling and summarizing data for reports; sorting and distributing mail; operating office equipment including computer, calculator, copy machine, and cash register; answering customer questions. Assisting with shipping/receiving and conducting inventories.
Office Assistant
Perform general clerical duties; assist with projects (this may include, but is not limited to: filing, answering phones, sorting mail, photocopying, faxing, mail pick-up and dissemination).
Student Athletic Trainer
Assist the athletic training staff in a variety of duties including: student-athlete check-in; basic first aid administration; pre-practice/game warm-up activities; post-practice/game preventative activities; hydration stations; ice therapy; training room organization and cleaning.
Team Manager
Assist the team and head coach with a variety of duties including: uniform laundering, court cleaning, equipment set-up, and general administrative assistance.
Tutor in the Academic Resource Center (ARC)
Peer tutors must have an overall GPA of 3.2, with a GPA of 3.5 in the subject area they tutor. Students should apply directly to the ARC, Library 2nd Floor.
