Off Campus Athletic Facilities
The College makes use of several athletic facilities off campus to expand and enhance the student recreational experience. In addition to the following facilities, other sites are called into service as needed.
Van Cortlandt Park
Van Cortlandt Park, the third largest park in New York City, comprises 1,146 acres of playgrounds, sports facilities, dog runs, picnic and barbecue areas, trails, and more. Located at Broadway and Van Cortlandt Park South in the Bronx, Van Cortlandt Park serves as the preferred site for Women’s Softball and Men’s Baseball team practice and competition. A shuttle bus to and from the campus runs every half hour.
Leake and Watts Pool
Leake and Watts—an educational partner of the Mount—is located less than a quarter mile from campus in Yonkers, and offers a full-sized pool available for use by the men’s and women’s swim teams.
Tibbets Brook Park
An alternate site for the soccer and lacrosse teams is located at Tibbets Brook Park, comprising 161 acres of athletic fields, tennis courts, hiking trails, and an aquatic complex. The park is located in nearby Yonkers.
