Your Athletic Teams
The College’s 13 NCAA Division III athletic programs seek the development of the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—and are designed to develop confidence, work ethic, communication skills, cohesion, and unity. These skills and qualities enable students to pursue excellence in the classroom, in the arena of competition, and in their chosen profession. In fact, student athletes at the Mount affirm national studies that show academic performance is greater during a sports season; each semester, more than 50 Mount athletes earn conference academic honors for earning grade point averages of 3.3 or better.
In addition to academics, the Mount’s athletics programs promote character and leadership. During the 2019-20 academic year, the Skyline Conference, which is comprised of 12 colleges and universities in New York State, recognizes athletes for exceptional sportsmanship. Mount Saint Vincent students are consistently named to that prestigious list—demonstrating their outstanding commitment both on and off the field.
Gifts to athletic teams enhance the impact of these programs, exposing students to new competitive opportunities and learning experiences. Gifts from alumnae/i, friends, and family allow student athletes to participate in regional and national competitions and tournaments. Contributions can be made in support of any Dolphins team.
