4.14 Searches
To maintain security and to protect the College’s and employees’ property, all persons entering and leaving the College’s premises may be subject to questions and/or a search. A search may include offices, lockers, parked vehicles, packages, purses, handbags, briefcases, lunch boxes, and all other possessions on College property. In this connection, it should be noted that all offices, desks, files, lockers, and so forth, are the property of the College and are issued for the use of employees only during their employment with the College. As such, employees should not have any expectation of privacy in any College-provided storage devises or in any personal property stored in any College-provided storage devises. Inspections may be conducted at any time at the discretion of the College.
Employees refusing to comply with this policy may be subject to disciplinary action, up to and, including dismissal.
