Graduate Nursing Adjunct – Family Nurse Practitioner Program

The College of Mount Saint Vincent is an academically excellent, authentically inclusive, Catholic and ecumenical liberal arts college with approximately 1,500 undergraduate students and 300 graduate students, located in the Riverdale section of the Bronx, New York City. Job Description
The College of Mount Saint Vincent is currently seeking full-time and adjunct nursing faculty to join our Graduate Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program. Successful candidates will demonstrate the expertise and commitment to advance nursing practice through teaching excellence, scholarship, clinical expertise, and advisement/mentorship of FNP students. This is a full-time, 10-month adjunct position in the School of Nursing.

We are seeking nursing faculty with expertise in the following areas for the Graduate Nursing program:

Core Graduate Courses (lecture)
Advanced Nursing Theory
Advanced Nursing Research (EBP)
Nursing Leadership
Ethics and Policy in Health CareSupport Courses
Advanced Health Assessment – lecture/lab
Family Nurse Practitioner Courses: (lecture)
Adult – Acute
Advanced Practice Seminar IAdult – Chronic
Advanced Practice Seminar IIPediatrics/Women’s Health
Advanced Practice Seminar III

Scheduled Courses Days/Hours
Graduate classes are held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Required Education
Doctoral Degree (D.N.P. preferred, Ed.D., Ph.D.)

Qualifications

  • New York R.N. license
  • Advance Practice Nurse certification
  • Certified FNP
  • Teaching experience in a graduate nursing program preferred

Salary
Academic rank and salary are commensurate with educational preparation and experience
