Dr. Wolf is a New York State licensed creative arts therapist and a licensed psychoanalyst. He trained in fine art and art therapy at Pratt Institute and continued his psychoanalytic training at the National Psychological Association for Psychoanalysis, where he has been a training analyst and faculty member.
Prior to joining the faculty at the College of Mount Saint Vincent, Dr. Wolf was Professor of Graduate Art Therapy and Practicum/Internship Coordinator at The College of New Rochelle and visiting professor at Pratt Institute, as well as a faculty member of The Institute for Expressive Analysis where he currently serves as president.
Dr. Wolf has written on many topics, including a chapter on the therapeutic uses of photography in play therapy in Integrating Expressive Arts and Play with Children and Adolescents. More recently, his article “A Mind’s Eye View: Processing Psychoanalytic Sessions with Artwork” was published in The Psychoanalytic Review (April 2017). Dr. Wolf is a practicing fine art sculptor and photographer and has been published and exhibited internationally.
