Professor Landis was the associate executive director of clinical and training programs at Creative Alternatives of New York (CANY), where she conducted trauma-informed dance therapy groups with many different populations, including refugee children, youth, and adults on the autism spectrum (ASD), as well as youth in residential programs and therapeutic schools.
Professor Landis has a private practice in New York City, where she sees clients and facilitates trainings nationally and internationally. She has been an adjunct professor at Lesley University, The College of New Rochelle, and Concordia University. She has published about her work in two books: Trauma-Informed Dance Therapy: Transforming Clinics, Classrooms, and Communitie, and Handbook of Child and Adolescent Group Therapy: A Practitioner’s Reference. Additionally, she received the North American Dance Therapy Association’s Teaching Excellence Award in 2015.
