The faculty member must make this employment known in writing to the Chair and Provost/Dean of Faculty. In consultation with the Chair, the Provost/Dean of Faculty must ascertain that these outside obligations do not interfere with either the quality of instruction, the scheduling of classes, or the fulfillment of other obligations to the College and grant approval for such outside employment in writing for a stipulated period of time. When the faculty member is the Chair, this employment must be made known in writing to the Provost/Dean of Faculty who will ascertain that these outside obligations do not interfere with either the quality of instruction or the scheduling of classes.
