Professor Sacks has practiced art therapy for over 30 years in a variety of settings with diverse populations. She was a full adjunct professor at The College of New Rochelle before it relocated at the College of Mount Saint Vincent. Professor Sacks maintains a private practice, including offering art-making groups for clinicians and supervising practicing art therapists. She completed her master’s in Expressive Therapy with a specialization in Art Therapy from Lesley College (University). Professor Sacks also received a Certificate of Psychotherapy with Children and Adolescents from The New Hope Guild Center (NYIPT). She has regularly presented art therapy informational and experiential workshops to a variety of groups: The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation, The Soul Ryeders, Fordham University School of Social Work, and the Clinicians’ Art-Making Group, which she facilitates.
